The Starwood owned hotel, 4 Points Sheraton, awarded a major renovation to Mark Dunnett’s team, Rosewood Commercial, for a deign and build interior renovation. The contract included in-house, branded interior designer and architectural plans and specifications.
This extensive project included a complete makeover of the corridor including wall coverings, carpeting, wall base, light fixtures and wall accessories. Other areas to be remodeled include guestroom wall coverings, carpeting, custom closet units, doors, shelving, furnishings, artwork and other accessories. All FFE material were presented and approved through the Starwood Design Authority group.
The project included a very aggressive timeline to completion per seasonal requirement. As the hotel was occupied during construction, phasing and life safety was an ultimate priority. The project commenced with phased demolition and material removal, completing one corridor and bank of rooms at a time. Finishes were applied to walls, floors and hallways, turning tired rooms and corridors into beautiful new living environments.
With the contracted timeline, a 24 hour clock utilizing three shifts was required. Noise and cleanliness were managed closely so as not to disturb hotel guests and business interruption. Guest consideration was monitored very closely every tep of the way during renovation. Hands-on project management and self performing crew for all disciplines helped ensure Rosewood Commercial remained in successful control of the project. The team was met with the highest marks from Starwood management upon project completion.
